Let me tell you a story about a zealous leader who had a dream of becoming a CEO.

In my early 30's, I was recruited to supervise a team. I was over the moon with joy! Finally, someone recognized my talent & placed me one step closer to the CEO seat that I deeply desired.

When I performed my first employee evaluation, I learned I was making over $3,000 LESS than one of my male employees, even though I had more education & experience!

I made an appointment with the CEO & we engaged in a heated discussion. He was condescending & misogynistic. I was told, "That's all you're worth."

I felt like giving up, which would have placed me further away from being a CEO.

Then, as if by chance, something amazing happened. Monday morning came & I submitted my resignation letter. The CEO promptly wished me well, hoping I had a backup plan as he was sure of my impending failure.

After that - everything changed! I started my business & began successfully negotiating 100’s of contracts, finally earning my worth.
