Many years ago, Dr. Mallory Fox hated mindfulness and yoga and wasn’t good at practicing mindfulness – She simply found it too hard to slow down when the teacher said to “clear your mind.” In addition, she didn’t have the money to join a yoga studio or the extra time to devote to an entire yoga class. As a result, she was hard on herself and struggled to practice self-compassion, patience, or kindness. Until, one day, she experienced a traumatic brain injury and vision loss, forcing her to change her habits.
